Graphic & Interactive Design

The Graphic & Interactive Design Associate in Science (A.S.) degree program is a two-year program that prepares you to go directly into a specialized career in graphic design, branding, advertising design, web design or interactive (UI/UX) design.

From design thinking and the creative process to executing ideas using industry-standard creative technology, our students receive hands-on experience and learn employable skills that prepare them to enter directly into a career with competitive portfolios. With a trusted reputation in the Orlando creative industry, we pride ourselves in educating some of the most talented designers in Central Florida. Our students have received recognition in local, regional, national and even international competitions. Their accomplishments include over 100 ADDY Awards, Florida Print Awards, the Create Awards, the ONE Show, Print Magazine and Siggraph.

What we are not:  This program is not a pathway to employment or advanced degrees in gaming, animation, 3D art, 3D animation, or animation art. If you're looking for social media communication, industrial design (drafting/CAD), video, motion graphics, audio/visual, mobile journalism, web development (server side web coding), film, or computer programming, Valencia does offer programs in those areas.

Recharging Creative Minds

Valencia's A.S. degree program in Graphic & Interactive Design not only teaches the tools needed to execute designs properly, but also prepares students with the skills needed to think like a designer and solve visual problems in a creative way. Our graduates are happily working as user interface designers, product designers, brand designers, print and advertising designers, web designers, and interactive designers. Graduates have landed jobs in design studios, advertising agencies, printing companies, web design firms, interactive design companies, in-house corporate environments, and other highly creative environments.
